Our mission

SUSTAINABILITY:

In order to pursue our Sustainability Strategy, our tactics target, Process, Planet and People.

Process = Fabrics + Production. From the sourcing of our fabrics to the production of our garments we're always thinking of the best ways to do right by the planet.

On-Demand Making: Micro-Factories. Leaner Sampling and Production.

Gone are the days that a brand is forced to produce large collections in the hope that it sells. The issue with this model is that buyers and customer don't buy into the entire range, making it a very expensive process and not a very sustainable one.

Our leaner production method produces capsule collections more frequently with not as many quantities. We keep our offerings fresh and limit the amount of dead stock that could potentially arise with over production.

Planet: The welfare of our planet is always at the forefront of our decisions. We strive to be on the constant search of ways to help our planet, offset our effect and constantly innovate to keep our world healthy and alive.

People: From educating our community, to the growth of our business we want to abide by all the definitions of Sustainability. Through our communications we want to teach people what we've learned throughout this process, so together we can make better decisions. We want our business also to grow in a sustainable manner where we don't measure our success through industry "standards" of double digit growth but rather measure it on the impact we are making through the brand our people and the planet.

INCLUSIVITY:

There are no stipulations to Love or to be a Hero. Though society might tell us otherwise, we can choose unconditional. Everyone can Love and be a Hero, and that is how we like to see the world and celebrate it. It is how our name originated. Our brand speaks to all and our products are inspired for all. Celebrating individuals, ideas and Mother Nature, we want to love all and protect our planet each step of the way.

INNOVATION:

We are continuously challenging ourselves and developing new practices so that we can create sustainable solutions at every stage of our journey and every stage of our products' lives. Finding new ways to be eco-friendly, keeping production low, excess stock and waste non-existent, products at high quality (so they last a long time) and stylistically relevant (so that they're timeless and live through trends)

We also dream of a circular future, where our products, in whatever shape our form, live endlessly in our product cycle. It is a journey we are currently on and one where we are learning everyday to make happen.

GOTS ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is cotton that is produced and certified to organic agricultural standards. It is better for people and the planet, compared to conventional cotton. Its production sustains the health of soils (which helps biodiversity flourish), ecosystems and people by using natural processes rather than artificial inputs. Organic farming uses significantly less water and it is better for farmers and their health as organic cotton farming does not allow the use of toxic chemicals or GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). Instead, it combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote a good quality of life for all involved. Finally, as a natural material, organic cotton is biodegradable and easy to recycle.

CERTIFIED BY GOTS. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) was developed by leading standard setters to define world-wide recognised requirements for organic textiles. From the harvesting of the raw materials, environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing to labelling, textiles certified to GOTS provide a credible assurance to the consumer.
