MADE FROM PLASTIC BOTTLES

REPREVE® is the leading and one of the most trusted branded performance fibers made from recycled materials (including plastic bottles). They transform recycled bottles into fibers helping to reduce one of the biggest issues we face as a planet, plastic pollution.

Even though this is a great way to help reduce plastic pollution, polyester is derived from petroleum and requires a chemical reaction to create its fibres. It is also one of the most used yarns within the textile industry and has a major negative effect in our sea life and waters. Every time you wash clothes made from virgin or recycled polyester the material sheds microplastics. These microplastics enter our water systems, too small to be filtered and are consequently ingested by fish and other sea life.

This is why we will use recycled polyester with the intent to eliminate it from our collections entirely through extensive research and development of new available materials. The use of recycled polyester in clothing is difficult to avoid sometimes due to the functionality and durability of its properties, so it's important that we avoid designing garments which require regular washing to limit or avoid regular microfiber shedding. That's why we have only used the REPREVE® mesh fabric in our tailored jackets which require less washing than most other garments.

We are making efforts to eliminate single use plastics from our lives and we implore you to do the same. Start small and build on your plastic free solutions gradually, every little bit helps.
